Specifies requirements, additional to those in AS 1418.1, for special purpose appliances including platform hoists, tip truck hoisting systems, earthmoving equipment used as a crane, and side-boom pipelayers. Application, design, controls, performance, components, testing, marking, operation and maintenance are covered.
